Mary Finegan, M.D.

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Mary Finegan provides minimally invasive gynecological care – including robotic, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic proceedures.  As an active member in the American Association of Laparoscopic Gynecology and the Sutter Minimally Invasive Surgery Institute advisory panel, she enjoys ensuring that top notch care is available for women with gynecological problems.

She accepts a limited number of new obstetrical patients each month, and finds great satisfaction in helping couples enjoy healthy pregnancies.

She went from Dartmouth College, to the biotech industry, to the National Cancer Institute research labs, and from there to The University of Chicago Medical School.  She was able to assist in the research of HPV as a cause of cervical cancer,  Her-2Neu’s role in breast cancer, and the Multiple Tumor Suppressor Gene’s role in cancer.  While she no longer researches the molecular genetics of cancer, the wonderful mentors and learning from those experiences allow her to provide thoughtful care to complex problems.
