Judy Mikacich, M.D.
Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecology
Dr. Judy Mikacich is a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist who was born and raised in Sacramento. She completed her undergraduate degree in Human Biology at Stanford University and attended medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After completing her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of California Los Angeles, she worked as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA. She then served on the faculty at The Children’s Hospital Denver and the University of Colorado Denver, where she co-founded an interdisciplinary program in perinatal mental health and worked in the Colorado Adolescent Maternity Program.
Her academic interests include reproductive mood and anxiety disorders, such as perinatal depression and premenstrual disorders, as well as pediatric and adolescent gynecology. She recently earned certification as a Menopause Practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. Professionally, she also focuses on multiple gestation and pregnancy over 35.
Dr. Mikacich is a fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology, as well as the North American Menopause Society.
Dr. Mikacich serves as a medical consultant for ABC Studios and with Hollywood, Health, Health and Society – Norman Lear Center at the University of Southern California. She is also an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California. She is involved in leadership at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento, where she helped develop the Mother’s Heart program for women with pregnancy-related and postpartum anxiety and depression.
