Laurie Gregg, M.D.
Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Laurie Gregg attended Pomona College where she completed her undergraduate degree with a major in biology and a minor in exercise physiology. She received her medical degree from UCLA and finished her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at UCLA in 1995. After serving as an assistant clinical professor in Los Angeles, she relocated to Sacramento. Her private practice is based in general OB/Gyn with a special focus on hysteroscopic procedures (procedures visualizing the inside of the uterus to decrease menstrual bleeding), menopause management, well woman care, and obstetrics. She very much enjoys counseling women regarding healthy living, weight management, libido, and family planning. It is certainly an honor for her to be involved in bringing a new life into the world.
Dr. Gregg is a certified and maintains her status as a recognized North American Menopause Society Menopause Practitioner in addition to re-certifying with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology each year.
Dr. Gregg is the former Sutter chief of the department of obstetrics and gynecology and chair of District IX (California) of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG.) She is currently the Medical Director for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement at Sutter Hospital in Sacramento. Not only is she passionate about patient wellness, she has a special interest in professional wellness. She serves as Chief Wellness Officer for Sutter Independent Physicians and leads wellness initiatives through ACOG and the Sutter Joy of Work Program. She enjoys teaching and is a volunteer clinical faculty member at UC Davis School of Medicine and California Northstate University College of Medicine.
Outside of her profession, she enjoys time with her husband, two children, 2 golden retrievers and friends especially if that time involves nature, travel, sports, cooking and eating together.
